Procupy Shelf is the inventory part of Procupy. Most inventory software starts with a setup project: item codes, units, reorder points and opening balances for every item. Shelf starts from work you've already done. Each time a delivery is received against a purchase order in Procupy, the goods receipt tells Shelf what came in, how much, at what price and from whom.
Your item list builds itself
Receipts are messy. The same steel rod turns up as 'MS Rod 20mm', '20 mm MS rod' and 'MS rod (20MM)'. Shelf groups lines like these into one item with a readable name, carries over the unit, the last price paid and the usual vendor from the purchase order, and records each receipt as stock coming in. Nobody has to create item codes or type in opening balances.
Green, yellow, red
Shelf works out how fast each item is used from the stock you issue, and turns that into days of cover. An item with a week or less left is red, up to three weeks is yellow, and anything above that is green. Each item also gets a short status line, so a store keeper or site manager can read the whole list at a glance.
That replaces the usual reorder point setup. Instead of someone setting and maintaining a reorder level for every item, the warning moves with actual usage.
Update it the way you talk
Instead of forms there's a single box. Type or say 'used 20 bags of cement', 'received 50 helmets' or 'counted 30 drums of paint', and Shelf records the movement against the right item. You can also ask how much of something is left.
Each day Shelf writes a short note listing what's running low, with a suggested quantity to order for each item.
From low stock to a competitive price
This is where Shelf differs from a standalone inventory tool. Tap 'Get more' on a low item and Shelf raises a purchase requisition for enough to cover the number of days you've chosen, using the last price and the usual vendor. If your approval rules need a sign-off, it goes to the right approver. Once approved, Procupy can run a reverse auction so vendors compete on price. The same workspace then tracks the purchase order, the delivery and the invoice, and the new receipt tops the item back up.
Who it's for
Shelf suits teams that hold stock but don't want an ERP inventory module: construction sites, small and mid-size factories, clinics and labs, hotels and restaurants, and offices managing consumables.
It isn't a warehouse management system. If you need batch or serial numbers, bin locations or pick lists, use a dedicated warehouse system for that stock. Shelf can still run alongside it for purchased consumables and spares.
